About the Owners
After growing up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Michael Price embarked on a corporate career that moved him to four other states and carried him across Southeast Asia and Australia.
Michael had thought about starting his own business for years, and when a major corporate restructuring was announced in late 2008, he decided now was the right time to do it.
“Working for a large global company, you never really feel like part of the community,” Michael says. “You’re always wrapped up in work and you never know when you may have to relocate. I really like the Ann Arbor area and wanted to stay here and get more involved in it.”
When Michael and his wife Ann Marie learned about BrightStar, they were immediately impressed with the organization’s unwavering commitment to patient care and service. It spoke to Michael’s own experience with his father, who passed away in 1999.
“My father was a hospice patient,” Michael says. “I know how much being at home meant to him.”
Michael and Ann Marie are excited to be open and look forward to serving Washtenaw County.
